Ancient Greek Goddess Aphrodite Coin Ring

This sterling silver ring was inspired by the Aphrodite Coin.
The original coin originated in the Greek city of Laodicea, around 300 B.C.
Aphrodite was the goddess of love, beauty and pleasure.

This silver focal piece of this ring is handmade using a wax seal and Eco-friendly recycled sterling silver. Each ring is hand cast, cut and polished. No two will be exactly alike.
They are washed in a patina solution to highlight the raised design of the ring then tumble polished.

The focal piece is made of eco friendly recycled sterling silver and is soldered onto a wide hammered band.

The top is approximately 18 mm round

The band for this ring is 8-9 mm wide. It is hand cut, hammered and soldered from sterling silver.

WHAT HAND CAST MEANS:

Each ring focal piece is hand molded and fired in a kiln in my studio. Slight variations will occur from ring to ring. These differences should not be seen as defects, but rather adding to the charm and uniqueness. The hand cast process makes each piece as one of a kind as the person who wears it.
